In organic agriculture, farmers can stimulate the production capacity of their animals (ruminants, pigs and poultry) in order to improve competitiveness; this is an effective means of temporarily or permanently increasing production, or decreasing the number of animals on the farm. According to the specifications, the livestock breeders are permitted to feed their animals with energy-rich rations in order to improve their zootechnical performance, but this incurs an increased risk of acidosis if the electrolyte balance is incorrect.

Bicar®Z is approved for use in organic farming, is non-toxic to humans, animals and the environment, and it enables breeders to ensure safe rations in terms of electrolyte balance, provide a supply of sodium and bicarbonate, and maintain a suitable acid-base equilibrium in their animals. It is an effective and worry-free way to improve the performance of livestock.
